Quantum Sails Bulgaria

Pavel was born in Varna, Bulgaria, and grew up sailing Optis there. He later earned a bachelor's degree in Financial Management from ACCA in London and a master's degree in Applied Aerodynamics from the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy in Varna.

In 2006, Pavel started working as a sailmaker, learning an array of skills from sail repair and design to canvas production and rigging. He became an International IRC measurer in 2007.

Pavel has had a successful career in Slalom and Formula windsurfing. He holds multiple national and Balkan titles in the Mistral One-Design Class (Olympic windsurfing class) and was once ranked in the Top 10 windsurfers in the Olympic class. In addition to windsurfing, Pavel regularly races keelboats and match races. He has won multiple regional and international titles in handicap racing.
