Quantum® sails claimed three of the top five spots at the Farr 40 Midwinters earlier this month, plus taking the top spot in the Corinthian division.
With four days of light sailing conditions, the 6–14 knot winds made for competitive sailing. Alex Roepers on Plenty won four of 11 races, taking second place overall. Helmut Jahn on Flash Gordon (sailing with a partial inventory) stayed in the top three for seven of the races, including three wins. He sailed into a final third place finish with Wolfgang Schaefer and Struntje Light only five points behind in fourth place.
One of the stars of the event was Corinthian winner Rick Goebel on Insanity. This was Rick’s first regatta, and it was a great start, finishing seventh overall and first in the Corinthian division. Congratulations to everyone on a great event.
