Quantum Racing and American Magic join forces in a New Chapter in Competitive Sailing
From the inception of the company, Quantum Sails has challenged convention – especially if that’s what it takes to help our customers and the sailing industry get to new, better places.
Quantum Racing was developed for Quantum to have a presence at the Grand Prix level and as the ultimate test platform for Quantum's Fusion M® sails and iQ Technology® — the company's proprietary sail design and manufacturing process.
With nearly 400 hours of sailing each season in a full range of wind and sea conditions on all points of sail, the Quantum Racing program provides the most controlled way for Quantum Sails to gather data, verify performance targets and identify areas for improvement, and leverage it to improve their products. Quantum Racing will continue to be Quantum Sails' “actual testing platform.”
For the 2025 season, American Magic and Quantum Racing continues collaboration to form a high-performance partnership. Quantum Racing, powered by American Magic, incorporates America's best young talent with experienced global talent. As a result, the sailing team continues to compete in the 52 Super Series, the world’s leading monohull competition.
Quantum Racing, powered by American Magic, seeksto enhance the skill and experience of these two globally recognized teams to ensure that a new group of young American male and female sailors is given a platform to progress. In addition, the team provides them with access to the overarching American Magic franchise and the broader American marine industry.
American Magic Team Principal Doug DeVos believes that harnessing talent in the United States is vital to the future of American Sailing as American Magic aims to progress and expand the sport.
DeVos said about his aspirations:

The team's drive for continuous improvement has yielded outstanding results on the water as well, with the team finishing first or second in every season since inception.
