J/70 Mainsails

J/70 Mainsail Cross Cut CM-2

If you're looking for the most advanced mainsail to give you a leg up this season, the CM-2 is your sail. It's fast, has a versatile design that is easy to trim and tune, and is a powerhouse in both choppy and flat seas, making it a favorite of champions and beginners alike. The CM-2 is constructed of premium Dimension Polyant 240B sail fabric and designed with our proprietary iQ Technology® that ensures ideal shapes hoist after hoist.

INCLUDES: RBS battens (light and heavy), vision windows, tell tales, numbers, draft stripes, roll bag, class insignia and class royalties (J/70 and ISAF).

J/70 Headsails

J/70 Jib CF-3

The CF-3 is an updated version of the fast, race-proven, and popular CF-2. Updates include a slightly higher clew and press rings (grommets) in the tack and head that offer a smaller shackle and finer tuning that create a flatter head area for greater entry down low. This fuller entry is forgiving in trim, easier to balance, and allows for more inhaul and tighter sheeting without compromising shape and speed. Its tri-radial design, constructed out of premium Dimension Polyant cloth, delivers speed, durability, and performance in the J/70 Class.

INCLUDES: RBS battens (light and heavy), vision windows, telltales, draft stripes, roll bag and class royalties (J/70 and ISAF).

J/70 Spinnakers

J/70 Spinnaker F6 - Dynakote 75

The F-6 Dynakote 75 Spinnaker is the ultimate all-purpose sail. Based on the same popular F-6 design, this sail is constructed with a softer, non-absorbent, grand prix material. The F-6 design is known for its excellent soaking mode and great reaching speed. Combine that with the malleable, flexible material, and you get a more forgiving sail that keeps the boat fast and nimble, even when conditions get rough. And since its Dynakote material doesn't absorb water, the sail stays light even as the bow powers through waves. This sail comes in multiple colors and combinations to help you stand out on the race course.

INCLUDES: Drawstring sail bag, royalties (J/70 and ISAF).

J/70 Spinnaker F6 - Airx 650

Quantum's F-6 spinnaker is the go-to J/70 spinnaker for all-purpose sailing. The sail's popularity comes from its excellent soaking mode combined with great reaching speeds. Constructed with AIRX 650, this spinnaker is fast, responsive, and flexible, yet stiff enough to love a good pump down the waves. The sail comes in multiple colors and combinations. Don't forget to ask about adding your custom graphic or logo for maximum style points.

INCLUDES: Drawstring sail bag, royalties (J/70 and ISAF).

George Szabo

George grew up in San Diego racing Stars, Lasers and Snipes. As a kid, he made sails for his model boats before eventually taking a part-time job with Quantum during high school and college. He came on full-time in 1993 as a sailmaker and designer.

Using the latest computer design programs, George is able to create the fastest, most efficient sails for smaller One Design boats. Carlo Fracassoli

Born and raised on Garda Lake, sailing has been Carlo Fracassoli’s favorite sport since childhood. It’s no surprise that he become a professional sailor in 2001. In 2003, he began collaborating in the development of racing and cruising sails for some of the industry’s best known sails brands. He designed sails for monotypes and had great results on the water.

In 2012, Carlo and Manlio Pozzoli opened their own sailmaking loft and affiliated with Quantum Sails as the Quantum Pro-Laghi S.N.C. loft. Since then, he has designed most of the sails sold by the Italian sales team. A One-Design specialist, Carlo designs many sails for Melges 20, 24, and 32 classes, Garda and European lakes monotypes, and ORC and IRC offshore boats.

An accomplished sailor, he won the Melges 24 World Championship in 2012, 2017 and 2019 and the European Championship in 2011 and 2018.

Adrien de Belloy

Adrien de Belloy started sailing at four years old, traveling around the North Atlantic with his parents on a boat they built themselves. As a family, they spent a year sailing across the Atlantic, from France to the Caribbean to New York and back. By the time Adrien was 12, he’d moved on to competitive racing. “I loved the sense of freedom, responsibility, team work and being out in nature,” he said. “Nowadays I still love reaching to the horizon and the technical aspect of it. I’m always searching for a way to go faster and trim better.”

With a degree in yacht and powercraft design from Southampton Solent University, Adrien joined Quantum Sails Barcelona as a sail designer in 2007. He left the loft in 2010 to work as a self-contractor for Quantum while he built the boat he and his wife sailed around the world, covering 44,000 miles from 2011-2013. He continues to design for Quantum at the France loft, and is back to racing IRC, Soto 40, and more.

Designing sails for everything from dinghies to super yachts, racers to cruisers, Adrien loves his work. “I love the never-ending improvement,” he said. “Getting to see my designs at sea, then analyzing them to keep on adapting to every situation.”

Working with the team at Quantum gives him the support and resources he needs to design the best sail for every sailor. “Working for Quantum means being part of a great team that is aiming for success at every endeavor,” said Adrien. “We work twice as hard to prove that we are ready for the next challenge.”
