J/22

Quantum has been involved with the J/22 class since day one. We have put in endless hours of testing and refining our sails and rig tune to help you get the most out of your J/22. Today, our J/Boat division of designers and sailors works on all aspects of our program, continually injecting new ideas and thinking, so every day, we are moving forward. Quantum’s top J/22 race results include multiple world, North American, European and Midwinter championships.

J/22 Mainsails

J/22 Class Mainsail

The J/22 mainsail offers easy-to-adjust power controls as well as great performance in all conditions. This is our latest all-purpose mainsail designed to handle the big winds and deliver enough power to get you through the light wind and wavy conditions. Its cross-cut design and loose foot allows for deeper draft and great shape retention. Built with dimension polyant fabric, it's a low-cost, exceptional value mainsail that is fast, durable, flexible, and easy to manage.

INCLUDES: Loose foot, tapered fiberglass battens, draft stripes, sail numbers, visibility and spreader windows, insignia, class royalty, and roll bag.

J/22 Headsails

J/22 Class Jib

Quantum's jibs have evolved to become more user-friendly. With a deeper foot and a rounder entry, our jib has a wide groove and great acceleration out of tacks and off the starting line. We have found this sail to be a great performer in both flat and lumpy water. Jibs come complete with telltales, bronze jib hanks, visibility window, draft stripes, class royalty and roll bag.

J/22 Spinnakers

J/22 Spinnaker - AIRX 650

Quantum has long been the leader in spinnaker design technology. This is quite apparent in our J/22 spinnakers. We updated our horizontal profile to a more elliptical shape that gives the spinnaker maximum projected area while still being easy to fly. The strength of our tri-radial panels locks in the shape so your sail will stay fast longer. Airx 650 is the lightest cloth available that meets the class rules, and is now available colors shown. Spinnakers come complete with sail numbers and a fold bag. Price also includes class royalty.

Travis Odenbach

Travis Odenbach rose to the top of the One Design circuit in multiple classes in a short amount of time. A native of Rochester who grew up sailing in the Rochester Yacht Club, his first race experience as a boy was on a Laser. As a member of a sail racing family, he crewed with his parents on their family C&C 37 R and later their Concordia 47.

At age 20 he bought himself a J22 and worked hard to have success on the race course. This led to his first job in the sailing industry with Waterline Systems. As a young sailor, he worked with experts from sail companies who helped him learn the business and fine tune his racing skills. It's this experience that drives Travis to do the work he does today. He now consults other sailors to help them have the best possible experience on the water and he loves being able to give back to the sport in this way.

His career has taken him from North Sails to Haarstick Sailmakers and now to Quantum Sails Rochester. During this time he has polished his skills as a one-on-one sales consultant who specializes in One Design sails and works with sailors all over the world. He is an accomplished member of Quantum's team of J/22, J/24, and J/70 class experts. He also enjoyed sailing Moths from 2014-2017.

In the J/24 class, Travis has won the North Americans and finished in the top three multiple times at Nationals, North Americans, and Worlds. In the Beneteau First 36.7 class he's helped win three North American championships, and in the J/22 class he has multiple top-five finishes at the world and North American championships. Around the country you can find Travis winning many regional events driving his own J/24 or helping customers on J/70s, J/24s, J/22s and other larger boats. Some of his career highlights included a division win on a Carkeek HPR 40 in the 2016 Annapolis-to-Newport regatta, Third at J/24 Worlds in 2013 and 2015, and 2nd at J/22 worlds in 2021. He enjoys sailing his Melges 15 when he is not working.
