Quantum Sails Newport is pleased to announce the addition of Martin St. John as a Sail Consultant. Martin brings a lifelong connection to the water and a diverse sailing resume that spans marina management, yacht brokerage, and competitive racing across New England, the Caribbean, and Australia.
A native of Cohasset, Massachusetts, Martin grew up steeped in the South Shore's rich maritime culture, learning to sail in Mercuries and Turnabouts before moving into Club 420 racing in college and later PHRF competition in Newport and Nantucket. His racing experience is broad, encompassing International 210s, Shields, Solings, J/22s, Saber 36s, Tartan 101s, and Swan 44s. He also spent a memorable summer crewing aboard two of Newport's most iconic 12-Metres, Intrepid and Weatherly. After living in Boston and studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, Martin has returned to Newport and is eager to deepen his involvement in the local racing community.
