Zephyr Taffeta takes that same low-stretch fiber structure and adds a protective taffeta surface layer along with a reinforced cross-ply for even load distribution. That extra layer trades a small amount of weight for meaningfully more durability, handling, and long-term reliability, making it the natural choice for performance cruisers and racer/cruisers who want efficient reaching power they can count on trip after trip, not just race after race.

Both constructions span the same weight range, from the lightest Zephyr 05, built for the smallest, lightest-air-reaching sails, to the Zephyr 18, for boats and conditions that call for more structural fiber and stability.
