Meet Nienke

Nienke Mullink is part of a new wave of Dutch sailors building their place in high-performance racing. Through hands-on experience in demanding team campaigns and major international events, she’s developed a strong foundation in big-boat sailing, learning quickly in fast-moving, high-pressure environments. With a focus on growth, teamwork, and time on the water, Nienke continues to progress through competitive sailing pathways and gain valuable experience with each mile. And, she’s only 25.

"I am involved in every part of the campaign, from sail development with the Quantum Sails team, through system setup, and all the way to execution on the water. The goal is to build a platform that is fully aligned with how I sail, and to keep refining it through constant feedback between design, testing, and real performance on the water."

The Feedback Loop

In preparation for the 2027 Mini Transat, Nienke trains alongside Gildas Dubois, working through sail design decisions with Quantum Sails while feeding back real-world performance from racing and training. In the Netherlands, sail development is supported by Jelmer Bouw, ensuring ideas move seamlessly from concept to build. It is a collaborative loop with her at the center.
