About Quantum Sails Brasil

It’s one thing to make exceptional sails, but at Quantum Sails South America we go even further by making your challenges our own. With superior and personalized customer service, our sail consultants are with you every step of the way as loyal advisers, friends, and fellow sailors.

Located in southern Brazil in Porto Alegre, our loft was founded by brothers Alexandre and Roberto Parededa with father José Adolfo Paradeda. All are passionate sailors with several years experience in sail production. We sell, design and build the full-line of Quantum® sails in South America including racing, cruising and one design products.

In our Service Department, we provide a full range of professional sail care and repair services for sails and canvas – from simple repairs to precise sail re-cuts. The first step for any project is an understanding of your needs and an evaluation in order to provide you with an accurate, up-front estimate of time and cost.

Alexandre Paradeda

Alexandre Paradeda is co-owner and founder of Pro Nautic, a sailmaking business created with his brother Roberto in 2004. Alexandre is a professional sailor, actively engaged with the sailing industry since 1997.

He is currently the coach of the Brazilian 470 representative for the 2016 Olympic games. Alexandre also serves as the youth sailing technical director for the Brazilian Confederation and is vice commodore of Club dos Jangadeiros in Porto Alegre.

Alexandre is a professional sailor with expertise in several one design classes including Optimist, Snipe, 420, 470 and the 49er as well as off shore sailing.

Roberto Paradeda

Roberto Paradeda is co-owner and founder of Pro Nautic, a sailmaking business created with his brother Alexandre in 2004. A business administration graduate, Roberto is responsible for all technical aspects and manufacturing for the sail division.

Roberto is a professional sailor with expertise in several one design classes including the 420, Optimist, Snipe and Carabelli 30 as well as off shore sailing. He is a 420 class coach.
